Sample Exchange

May 20, 2009

The Complex Weavers 16’s sample warp is off the loom, washed and hanging to dry.   I was surprised to see the dark blue mercerized cotton weft I used had some dye residue come out in the washing.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the beginning of the warp again where I always play with various colours before I make a final decision.  It reminds me of a  Saori Weaving .     This time though I only had enough yarn in one of the colours for the whole warp, but now I have the samples of the other colours and yarns for future reference.

Pressing, cutting apart, edge finishing and another light press and then off they go into the envelopes and out in the mail.   Not forgetting the notes as well.

Am looking forward to the other samples!
