Indigo Fermentation – Day 4
No fermentation yesterday or this morning either. I warmed it up – too much – and must have killed the yeast. This morning I added more yeast and gave it a good stir. There is no mention of stirring in the instructions and I would think that once the vat was fermenting that would keep it moving. It does have a terrible smell from the ammonia though and right now I have it in my oven with the light on to keep an even warm tempurature, something I do with bread making if it is cool. Not that 34C to 36C is cool outside! But it keeps the tempurature even. Hopefully today it will go. So no picture today because there is no change to record.
It is a British Columbia day holiday today and the weather is perfect. Happy B.C. Day to all.
