Another wonderful found item of handweaving, this time a dress. Amazingly it fit me. I am not sure that anyone would have actually worn this – it weighs so much, is made of pure wool and is very warm. Might be useful for the costume box!
Here is a close up of the fabric and finishing crochet worked edges. The warp and weft are both singles, warp finer than the weft. The sleeve edges were hemstiched and left as fringes.
