Tapestry sampling

January 28, 2010

This sampler is from a group project where we all did the same sampler.  It is originally from a Murray Gibson workshop one of our group took. She then asked Murray permission to share the sampler  notes with the group. The workshop must have been wonderful, but doing the sampler was very interesting and a good learning tool.

I used a linen warp, wool weft.

The sampler is lovely, and I like that you wove it in black and grey. I think that makes it easier to focus on the techniques used, than if it had been woven in colors.
