Those are beautiful! I have a lot Malin Selander’s books, but not her swatch collections.
It’s obvious I’m missing something good too.

Oh, I should have those books. Malin Selander lives in the same city as me. I went to see her exhibition and herd her talk about it. She did not like the ‘wet finish’-thing 🙂

Thanks for sharing those photos! I have a stash of linen in my studio, waiting for me to get brave enough to use it. Even though I love linen yarn and linen fabric, I find the idea of weaving with it more than a little intimidating!

I looked at your photos and just thought “ahhhhh”. I love the way linen looks-so crisp and clean. Great photography!

Beautiful linen curtains, Evelyn! Are they at windows in your home? If/when I ever get moved, I’m looking forward to weaving curtain fabric and valances for a new home.

Sue , linen is such a beautiful fibre and with careful warping not difficult to use. I also weave linen with a humidifier going and dampen the bobbins.

I love the Malin Selander designs and her books – I think the photographed swatch books are great too, but wish they had included all the samples that were in the swatch books . How lucky you are Desiree to have seen an exhibit!

Janice, yes, I use these on french doors between rooms and really enjoy using my own work . I haven’t woven enough for myself!

I love this linen swatch, it’s a great simple idea! I’m looking for ideas for fine linen scarves and this is something I might try.

Your blog is great, thanks for posting your stuff, it’s nice to see what other people are doing!

Thanks Clare! These curtains haven’t been washed and have alot of body still, but singles linen should soften nicely when washed.
