Goose Eye Twill Tea Towels

January 11, 2011

This warp became Xmas gift tea towels  woven in various colours including gold, black, wine and red. I forgot to take photos of the gold one.

The red, blue and green colour stripes are composed of two similar reds, greens and blues.   This had interesting effect on the goose-eye blocks, they are barely visible, except for the reverses in the “red” sections.  The goose-eye effect is more visible in real life, but difficult to capture photographically.

22/2 Cottolin, sett and woven at 20epi

Aren’t they pretty! And fun. I’m working on bird’s/goose eye towels right now. Not half as colorful though.

Wonderful, cheerful colors to brighten up winter, Evelyn! Love weaving with Swedish cottolin, can’t wait to get some back on the loom.

What nice colorful towels! I’m inspired! I like the subtle pattern that is running in the background, but the main impression is of color. These will bring a smile to your face when you use them 🙂

    Have a great weekend!
